Contactless, battery-free bicycle lighting for aluminium rims. Magnic Microlights generate their operating energy without touching the rim. No batteries, spoke magnets or contact dynamo are required.

Scope of delivery: 1 front light, 2 rim-protection stickers and mounting tools. Brake shoe and brake pad, or the Disc Brake mount, are included according to the selected version.
Current housing: reinforced clip construction for improved impact resistance.
Rim brake → Microlights brake shoe · disc brake with narrow/medium fork → Microlights Disc · wide fork/suspension fork/wide tyres → Wega. For Microlights Disc, the outside fork-to-rim distance must be below 65 mm. Wega is universally adjustable for wide forks and suspension forks.

Energy is generated contactlessly at the metal rim. No friction wheel in contact with the tyre or rim, no battery and no spoke magnets.

Performance depends, among other things, on speed, rim material, rim geometry and the adjusted air gap.
Battery lights need to be charged, while conventional bottle dynamos work with mechanical contact. Magnic Microlights instead use the aluminium rim itself as part of a contactless generator system. A small air gap remains between generator and rim – there is no contact wheel rubbing on the tyre or rim.
A rotating magnetic wheel inside the generator induces eddy currents in the passing metal rim. The resulting electromagnetic interaction drives the generator without direct mechanical contact with the rim. Available light output increases with riding speed.
The generator is fully enclosed and runs on miniature ball bearings. Replaceable brake pads are separated from the generator itself. UHMWPE rim-protection stickers and mounting tools are included.

Available generator power depends on riding speed and on the air gap between generator and rim. Correct adjustment is therefore important.
